Slitherine appears to be unstoppable. This once small wargame publisher is slowly becoming the face of strategy and wargames, and Headquarters: World War 2 is just the latest of titles in their ever-growing catalogue.
Often described as World War 2 meets XCOM (while not false, it thinks that honour belongs to Classified France ’44) I think the game is more closely related to one of the Best World War 2 Games of All Time, Battle Academy.
Headquarters: World War 2 manages to stand on its own two feet as a very competent, if conservative and traditional wargame, and for a lot of people that’s going to be enough, and it’s just what they’re looking for.
The game’s out now and will cost you $35.99 | 35,09€ | £30.15, as the game is currently -10% off.
